FURREAL DATA DELETION INSTRUCTIONS

If you would like to delete your FurReal account and the personal information associated with it, follow the steps below.
How to Request Deletion
Send an email to support@furreal.live with:
- Subject line: `Account Deletion Request`
- From: the email address associated with your FurReal account (or your phone number, if you registered by phone)
- Body: a brief statement that you want your account deleted. You may include the username or pet names on your account to help us locate it.
We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What Will Be Deleted
When we process your request, we will permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize:
- Your account profile (username, email, phone number, avatar, demographics).
- All pet profiles and pet photos you uploaded.
- Your livestream chat history and gift transaction records (subject to financial recordkeeping requirements; see "What May Be Retained").
- Your follow and follower relationships.
- Marketing attribution and analytics events tied to your account.
- Content you reported, with the report record anonymized.
- Sign-in identifiers from Apple, Google, Facebook, or your phone number.
What May Be Retained
A limited amount of information may be retained after deletion to comply with legal, financial, or safety obligations:
- Financial records of redemptions and withdrawals (retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance).
- Moderation records of confirmed serious violations (retained for up to 12 months) to enforce account suspensions and protect other users.
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot be tied back to you.
- Backups that include your data may persist for up to 30 days before they are overwritten.
After these retention periods expire, the corresponding information is permanently removed.
Revoking Sign-In Provider Access
Deleting your FurReal account does not automatically remove FurReal from the list of authorized apps in your Apple, Google, or Facebook account. To revoke our access:
Apple Sign-In
1. On your iPhone or iPad: Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
2. Tap FurReal.
3. Tap Stop using Apple ID.
Google Sign-In
1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
2. Find FurReal in the list.
3. Click Remove access.
Facebook Login
1. Go to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications.
2. Find FurReal in the Active list.
3. Click Remove.
Revoking access prevents future sign-ins through that provider. To delete the account itself, you must also email us as described above.
Phone Number Accounts
If you registered with a phone number, deletion removes the phone number from our database. We do not retain SMS message history beyond what our verification provider (Amazon Web Services SNS) retains for its operational purposes.
Verification
To prevent unauthorized deletion of your account, we may ask you to verify ownership before processing a request. Verification may include responding from the registered email or phone, or providing details only the account holder would know (such as recent activity).
