FURREAL PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how Las Mascotas, Inc., a Delaware corporation, doing business as FurReal ("FurReal," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the FurReal mobile application (the "App") or visit our website at https://www.furreal.live (the "Site"), together the "Service."
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
FurReal is a pet livestreaming platform that allows pet owners to broadcast live video of their pets and viewers to watch, send virtual gifts, and follow broadcasters. The Service is operated by Las Mascotas, Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, U.S.A.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
Account information. When you create an account, we collect:
- Sign-in identifiers: depending on the method you choose, we receive an opaque identifier and (if you authorize it) an email address from Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, or a phone number verified by SMS.
- Profile: a username (which you choose) and an avatar image (optional).
- Onboarding demographics (optional): age range, gender, region, types of pets you own or are interested in, level of pet experience, and how you intend to use FurReal.
Pet profiles. Pet name, species, breed, age, photos, and any description you provide.
Livestream content. Stream titles, metadata you set, chat messages you send, and gifts you send or receive. Live video and audio are processed by our streaming partner (see Section 4) and are not stored on FurReal servers.
Reports and blocks. If you report another user or block a user, we record the report or block.
Communications. If you contact us by email, we keep a record of the correspondence.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device and identifiers. We collect your iOS device's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), device model, operating system version, application version, and time zone.
Usage data. We log application events such as account creation, sign-in, room creation, room entry and exit, viewer session duration, gift transactions, and feature interactions. Each event includes a timestamp and the user account associated with it.
Marketing attribution. When you install the App via a marketing campaign, we may collect attribution parameters (UTM source, medium, and campaign).
Content moderation results. When you upload images or post text content, we send the content to our moderation provider and record the classification result (e.g., compliant, flagged for review, blocked).
Crash and diagnostic data. If the App crashes, we collect a stack trace and basic device state to help us diagnose the issue.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
When you sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook, those providers send us a token confirming your identity along with the limited profile information you authorize. We do not receive your password.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Service: authenticate you at sign-in, display livestreams and pet profiles, route gifts, sync follower relationships, and deliver notifications.
- Maintain safety: detect harmful or illegal content using automated moderation, investigate user reports, enforce community guidelines, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms of Service.
- Improve the Service: analyze aggregate usage patterns, run experiments, debug crashes, and develop new features.
- Manage transactions: track virtual currency balances ("Treats"), record gift transfers, and process broadcaster redemptions.
- Communicate with you: send transactional notifications related to your account, gifts received, and live broadcasts.
- Comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests from authorities, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
We do not use the information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects on you.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information with the following categories of recipients, each of whom processes information on our behalf under a written agreement.

4.2 When Required by Law
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of FurReal, our users, or others.
4.3 In Connection with Business Changes
If FurReal is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer information to the successor entity, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
4.4 No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in:
- The United States, where our application servers, database, and media storage are located.
- Singapore, where our livestreaming, messaging, and content-moderation provider operates.
When we transfer information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including data processing agreements with our service providers. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and for the periods listed below, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

After the applicable retention period, information is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and personal information (see Section 11).
- Portability: receive your information in a portable format.
- Object or restrict: object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.
To exercise these rights, email support@furreal.live from the address associated with your account or include enough information for us to verify your identity. We will respond within 30 days. If we decline a request, we will explain why.
You can also manage some preferences directly in the App:
- Update your username and profile in Profile → Settings.
- Block or report another user from their profile or in a livestream.
- Sign out of the App at any time.
- Delete your account by contacting support@furreal.live.
7.1 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell.
- Right to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. FurReal does not sell or share personal information for these purposes.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. FurReal does not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

7.2 EU and UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal bases for our processing are:
- Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)): to provide the Service you have signed up for.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): to keep the Service safe, prevent fraud, and improve the Service. We have weighed these interests against your privacy rights.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): for non-essential marketing communications, where applicable.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): to comply with applicable law.
You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. A list is available at https://edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/board/members_en.
8. Children Under 18
FurReal is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you believe a child under 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact support@furreal.live and we will promptly delete the account and associated information.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The FurReal mobile App does not use cookies. The App may use local storage on your device (UserDefaults, Keychain) to store sign-in tokens and preferences.
The Site (https://www.furreal.live) may use essential cookies to operate, and may use analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) for all network connections.
- Encryption at rest for stored data on AWS RDS and S3.
- Access controls limiting employee access to information on a need-to-know basis.
- Sign-in tokens stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
- Server secrets stored in AWS Secrets Manager.
No security measure is perfect. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@furreal.live.
11. Account Deletion
To delete your account and associated data, see our Data Deletion Instructions (https://www.furreal.live/data-deletion) or email support@furreal.live with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the address associated with your account. We will process the request within 30 days.
If you signed in with Apple, Google, or Facebook, you can also revoke FurReal's access from your provider's account settings:
- Apple: Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → FurReal → Stop using Apple ID.
- Google: myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps with account access → FurReal → Remove access.
- Facebook: Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → FurReal → Remove.
Revoking provider access prevents future sign-ins but does not delete the account on FurReal. To fully delete the account, also email us as described above.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the App or by email before the change takes effect.
